The rumors about no multitasking in Windows Mobile 7 is nearly become reality when this latest OS from Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) was unveiled in Mobile World Congress 2010. With no multitasking function, you can only open one application at a time just like the iPhone. To replace the multitasking function, Windows Mobile 7 will allow the application to be "paused" when you minimized the application which mean it cannot running in the background. So, when you reactivated back your application, you will see the same state when you minimized the application including document scrolled at the same position, text intact and the cursor position.

This WM7 also will implement the push notification system that will notify you for any application update when the apps are not running. Mostly, all the updates are similar to iPhone. We are happy on that but why no multitasking? Microsoft also inform that the design elements for WM7 will be same like Zune HD interface with codenamed "Metro" that will make the WM7 clean and soulful. Since this is only rumors, we might wait until the official announcement from Microsoft on 15 Feb 2010.
