During the CeBIT Exibition, Asus try to hit the e-book reader market
by unveiled the DR-900, an e-book reader that featured the WiFi
connectivity and also 3G connection as an option. With 9-inch touch
screen display made by SiPix, you can set the resolution up to 1024 x
768. This e-book reader comes with 2GB and 4GB of space storage that can
be expandable via the SD card. For better in viewing experience, this
device only works in landscape mode that can be controlled via the
virtual keyboard including the handwriting recognition function. This
device can handle the PDF, TXT and ePUB files format. In order to
support the audio files like MP3, this device has its own headphone jack
for the audio output. |
This e-book reader is thin enough with just only a few button on the sides.
Unfortunately, with all the great features, this e-book LCD can be view in
grayscale mode only. Hope Asus can made an improvement to color LCD. About the
pricing and release date, we are not sure but hoping for the next announcement
from Asus within this week.
